The Women in Entrepreneurship Roadshow is a project conceived by the European Young Innovators Forum, one of the leading organisation for youth innovation and entrepreneurship in Europe. WER is a non-profit project powered by the United States Mission to the European Union, Startup Europe, the European Commission and Amazon and its aim is to support and empower women entrepreneurs. The Roadshow consists of a series of 10 events across Europe with the goal of connecting 300 women entrepreneurs with 30 VCs and top players in the European and the US ecosystem in order to facilitate access to finance. The short term goal is to connect entrepreneurs with VCs and ecosystem builders and business angels and identify the main challenges women entrepreneurs face when accessing finance through workshops. The long term goal is to produce a report with our findings to present to the European Union with policy recommendations.

The aim of the workshops is to connect women entrepreneurs with VCs and business angels. During the workshops, VCs will have a chance to share some insights into the venture capital world, share advice and create connections with the WER entrepreneurs. For the WER entrepreneurs, this is a chance to meet the local, European and US entrepreneurial ecosystem, an opportunity to network with mentors, pose questions about your challenges and present your projects. Nicholas Zylberglajt // President of EYIF


Nicholas is the Co-Founder of the European Young Innovators Forum, the leading foundation for Youth Innovation in Europe. He also co-founded EU Startup Services, EYIF’s consulting company aimed at supporting European startups to secure EU funding having supported more than 1350 Startups in more than 20 EU countries.

Sara Lovato

Sara Lovato // Investment Manager at United Ventures

Sara joined United Ventures as Investment Manager in 2019, bringing her extensive experience in the startup ecosystem and a strong expertise in technology transfer.

Previously, she was Head of the Acceleration Unit and Operation – Legal Affairs Unit of an innovation company dedicated to technology transfer, supporting the creation of tech companies, from idea validation programs to business structure and negotiation of the first round of investment. Previously, Sara supported clients of well-known law firms, both in Italy and in New York, U.S.A., in cross boarder activities involving corporate, commercial and IP matters. Sara was a team member of the Italian National ski team and competed for many years at the front end of the international ski racing circuit.

Lisa Di Sevo // Partner/Investment Manager Prana Ventures

Lisa is partner and investment manager for PranaVentures, a new early stage venture capital firm. She is a tech enthusiastic and startups godmother, she made her first steps in H3G Innovation Division where she came in contact with start-ups and venture capital world. From 2007 to 2017 she was associate for dpixel a Venture Capital Advisory and investor manager for PrimoMiglio SGR. From 2009 to 2015, she was the project leader for Telecom Italia Open Innovation program. She is managing director of SheTech, non-profit focused on the education and engagement of women in the technology industry. In 2015 she was selected among the 150 best talented people in the word to join the Global Entrepreneurship Summit.

Juliet Boissière // Associate 360 Capital

Juliet joined 360 Capital as associate in 2018, dedicated to seed investment, she enjoys being at the side of entrepreneurs, and shares with them the desire to positively impact a sector and all its stakeholders.

Previously, she worked in BNP Paribas in the Italian team of Project Finance for one year and a half and before that in a Parisian VC for 2 years. Full of energy Juliet practices sports such as skiing or tennis. Always on the go, between a modern art exhibition and a flight to Paris, she’ll always find some time for a yoga class.

Francesco Rossi // Partner Levante Capital

Francesco is a Serial Entrepreneur and Investor, with more than 10 years of experience running companies in Europe and China. He is the founder of four companies – of which two successfully exited – his most recent milestones include the take over of a Historical niche sport brand and structuring of 3.5€ mil in equity deals between Asian Investors and Italian Startups. He is a Partner in Levante Capital acting as Head of European Activities. A Former professional fencer, passionate about coding, Francesco is an Alumnus of the Global Shapers Community, World Economic Forum.

Giancarlo Rocchietti // Founder and President of Club degli Investitori

Giancarlo is an entrepreneur, business angel, founder, and president at Club degli Investitori. In 1980, Giancarlo founded Euphon, which became the leading independent operator in the multimedia industry in Italy, with a preeminent position in Spain. In 2000, Euphon was listed on the Italian stock exchange and Giancarlo exited Euphon in 2004 to a private equity investor.

He has been President of Sviluppo Italia Piemonte, a regional government agency and then appointed President of Piemontech, the first regional government seed-capital fund in Italy. Today Giancarlo is investing in SMEs and start ups as Business Angel. He is the Founder and President of Club degli Investitori, one of the most relevant business angels and investors network in Italy.


Jorge Munoz

Jorge Muñoz // WER Director

He has a strong background in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations having worked in different European countries such as the UK, France, Belgium and Spain. He is the current Director for Marketing and Communications at Unmanned Life, Jorge was a Key Account Manager at one of the world leading advertising agencies, Saatchi & Saatchi, from Publicis Media Group, where he was responsible for key accounts across different B2C and B2B fields coordinating the work of different departments such as Art Direction, Design, Finance and Executive. He has managed multi-million euro and international campaigns for top Brands such as Nestlé, Nespresso, Perrier, San Pellegrino, Lexus, among others.

Riccardo Bianco

Riccardo Bianco // Business Angel and Startup Mentor

Born in 1958 in Turin, with a youthful spirit, a happy father of two daughters, a motorbiker, a lover of mountains and skiing, I recognise myself in the classic popular nickname of Turin, bogianen. Maria is an innovative Legal & Compliance Counsellor with more than 20 years in-house managerial experience in Italian, and multinational companies, such as Esselunga, Ikea and Metro. Previously a Board Director in SOGEMI S.p.A. Mentor. She supports companies and startups to do business in a compliant way.

Marianna Manfrino

Marianna Manfrino // Management Consultant and Startup Mentor

Marianna started working as a management consultant in 2004, skilled in finance and administration processes and performance management.She worked as a financial controller for small and medium-sized companies. In 2009 she held the position of FP&A manager in Aon Italy.

Since 2012 she works in Milan as a freelancer, supporting her clients in startup processes, business planning and performance management. She has been a teacher in finance and administration courses and a startup mentor. Her job is to help entrepreneurs to realise their business ideas, providing planning and reporting tools to support strategic decisions.

company with ethical and social impact. That promote corporate activism;
creating projects focused on sustainability, human value and innovation
for companies and institutions. She is also the founder of JOINT INNOVATION HUB, a team of Innovation managers supporting companies in the management of processes of change and evolution of their business in terms of organisational processes, products, services and managerial thinking. We facilitate the introduction of innovative solutions from the world of innovative startups, SMEs and research centres.

Maria Ameli

Maria Ameli // Head of Corporate, Real Estate & Art Advisory
Banca Generali S.p.A.

Maria is a graduate in nuclear engineering, from the Milan Polytechnic and holds a specialist degree in entrepreneurship from Harvard Business School. She has gained a wide range of experience in strategic consulting and private banking while holding important roles for world class corporations.
She is currently the Head of Corporate Finance, Real Estate & Art Advisory at Banca Generali and coordinates the “Link to Real Economy Project” which creates a link between private savings and Italian and foreign SMEs.
Maria has been structuring club deals for years and has been supporting the development of Start-Ups (such as Homepal, Satispay, Treedom and Le Cesarine etc.), which focus on innovation, sustainability and
social growth.

Noa Segre

Noa Segre // Senior Consultant Corporate Innovation Talent Garden

Noa is an Italian – Israeli experienced manager with over ten years of experience in the high-tech and technology ecosystem, both in venture investment and startup companies. Noa joined Talent Garden in early 2019 and holds the position of Senior Consultant, Corporate Innovation working with Italian Corporates on their strategic innovation and technology innovation and advancements.

Previously Noa was the Director of Investor Relations at Jerusalem Venture Partners (JVP) for over nine years, where she oversaw the fundraising and day to day interaction with the $1.2B investors of the 2nd largest Venture Capital fund in Israel. Over the years Noa was active in the Jerusalem Hi-Tech ecosystem as well as an active promoter of innovation for social change. In her various roles in the “start-up nation” Noa met with and introduced the nation’s ecosystem to numerous leaders, both in the public and private sector,advocating for the creation of new technology ecosystems around the world encouraging technology growth and partnerships.

She is a passionate promoter of technology for social impact and global social change and was invited by the UNDP to lead workshops on financial technologies as a way to bridge social gaps in Armenia and Georgia. In 2017 Noa was selected to be one of 50 global young leaders of the Council
for US-Italy Relations, and nominated by the U.S. State Department to be part of the Israeli delegation to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in India, which focused on female entrepreneurship and empowerment.

In 2018 Noa was selected as a member of the Schusterman foundation ROI Jewish Leadership. Prior to working in tech, Noa worked for over five years for the US Consulate in Jerusalem overseeing various aspects of the diplomatic mission in Israel.

Roberta Gilardi

Roberta is a strategic innovation and marketing expert, teacher and business coach, Business Angel and Innovation Manager; with more than 25 years of consultancy experience in the industrial and service sectors in Italy and abroad. She is a former member of the Assintel Governing Council 2008-2012; Professor of specialist courses (Innovation, Marketing, Business); web and eBusiness entrepreneur. AS the Founder and CEO of G2, she follows the development of Innovation As A Service and Open Innovation services, with particular reference to Health & Technology. Responsible for G2 Call 4 Innovation development and Acceleration Programs; member of MUG Advisory Board ( Emilbanca district innovation initiative); Director of the G2 Digital Health Lab and Health Innovation Accelerator.

Antonia Verna

Antonia Verna // Partner Portolano Cavallo

Antonia has been a partner of Portolano Cavallo, since 2012. Before that, she worked in London and Milan at a leading Italian firm, assisting Italian and foreign clients with mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital operations, accumulating more than 20 years in those fields.

She is an active member of the International Bar Association (IBA), as part of the organising committee of IBA Startup Annual Conference. She is also a member of the Professional Women’s Association in Milan (PWA), and is the treasurer of the European Women Lawyers Association (EWLA).

Barbato Stefania // Community Manger Fintech District

Stefania is passionate about startup, music and books. With a background oriented in communication and marketing, she has been working in different areas of tech and finance industry. Right now she is the community manager of the Fintech District, where she contributes to build an international ecosystem scouting +130 international fintechs and organising 80+ events, with a special focus on projects about inclusion and sustainability.

Camilla Budelli

Camilla Budelli // Chief Operating Officer Habacus

Camillia is an accomplished executive with extensive (20+ years) international experience. She started her career at Vodafone Italy where she led the mobile device portfolio strategy, actively shaping the group supplier and marketing strategy. While at Vodafone, Camilla capitalised on her marketing and sales experience and successfully contributed to the carrier launch and development of broadband services by heading the broadband customer value management unit. In 2014 she left Vodafone to join Hyla Mobile EU in Brussels, going on to be selected as the initiator of a similar initiative under a different shareholder (AmTrust International, a at the time NASDAQ listed insurance giant).

Camilla recently moved from the ICT industry into the Fintech arena, while she has been selected as the COO of Habacus, an innovative Italian and UK based start-up in the finance for education arena. With a savvy mix of background experience both in corporate and the start-up environment, Camilla is an active contributor to multiple start-up mentoring initiatives (PoliHub Milan Politechnic University/European Innovation Academy/Bocconi University) in Italy and abroad.

Anna De Stefano // Angel Investor, Startup Mentor & Advisor Italian Angels for Growth

Anna is passionate about execution and building the growth of companies. Entrepreneurial approach, innovation through technology and people, connecting dots among cultures, technology, generations and experiences, always learner and enthusiast team coach. She is a proven executive, with significant experience in managing the growth of companies and their teams from the early stage phase to an industry leadership position, especially in the legal services industry. She is results-oriented, and creative, with strong attention to developing a highly inclusive environment, based on shared values. She is a member of SheTech and is generally involved in the development of women presence in the business community.

Filippo Zanetti // Business Angel | Innovation Advisor | Entrepreneurs

Currently, Filippo is the principal and founder of Simbiosity, which accelerate the matching of innovation between start-up and traditional companies through a proprietary asset. He is an active Business Angel, and member of the board of Italian Business Angel Network and of several start-ups and scale-up. Over a 26-year period Filippo has delivered innovative supply chain solutions with IBM, and has also served as the Executive Director member of Logistics Board of Geodis (SNCF Group) Filippo provides business-mentoring support to major accelerators in Italy and is an EU commission expert to evaluate Horizon 2020 projects.

Francesco Zaini // Partner G2 Startups

Francesco is a Partner and the Director of Smart Finance & Protection Division at G2 Startups. He is also the co-founder of a start-up accelerator focused on Fintech startups and developed/managed an innovative project on PSD2 and business ecosystem building for banks. Previously, he developed a wealth of experience as a financial manager in Fiat and Olivetti, in Italy and the US. He is an advisor of LoanXchain and other leading edge fintech startups, and a member of Assofintech, Aifirm e AICOM. Along with this he has extensive experience in the service industry and in the innovation world, of which some 25 as partner in top consulting firms (C&L/PWC- AT Kearney, AD Little) and as founder of Equiteam, a boutique specializing in strategic advice for financial institution on Reputation management and Compliance.

Massimilano Gilardi // Founder & Partner G2 Startups

Massimiliano has over 25 years of experience in investment banking and consultancy. He is a founding partner of G2 Startups. Massimiliano began his career in Mediobanca, Milan. In 2000, he left Mediobanca to join ING Barings as Head of Italian and Equity Linked Desk. Before starting G2, Massimiliano worked for several years as a financial adviser and General Manager of the Consortium of Chambers of Commerce for Credit and Finance – Chamber of Commerce of Milan, a consortium of the main Chambers of Commerce that promotes financial services to SMEs. He has extensive experience of M&A, Equity and Capital Markets Advisory. In G2, he is the Director of the Energy, Green Economy & Social Impact division and Head of the Startup Financing Advisory practices.

Giorgio Guidi // CEO & Founder The Hive e TH2

Giorgio graduated in Economics and Commerce in Ancona, specialising in General Management, Sales & Marketing, Finance and Control, Tax Planning International. He is a creative, dreamer and passionate about innovation and its repercussions on complex economic systems, in 2013 he founded the incubator The Hive, together with the international investment fund Greenvale Ventures Europe to bring the entrepreneurial dream of startups to the market and make the idea successful. In 1991 he began his experience professional in more than 10 Italian and foreign operating companies mainly in the field of consultancy and training, as general manager, director and administrator. Since 2005 he is also a teacher in Master Business Administration and ESF courses of the Marche Region.

Michela Petronio // Mentor Blu 1887

Michela holds a Master’s Degree in Food Science and Technology, and started her professional career in the Meat and Dairy Industry. In 1992, she joined the Barilla Group (Italy) where she held several oles in Research , Product and Business Innovation Areas. She has a wide knowledge and practical experience of most Food Categories and Technologies, leading teams of Design Thinking, Sensory Sciences, Food technologies, Pilot plants, Packaging , Agronomy, Nutrition, Advanced Laboratories , Food Safety research.

She has been an active member of the Sustainability Steering Committee and Health and Wellness Advisory Board , developing the Global Nutrition Program for Employees. She devoted her career to expand and strengthen the company core knowledge through proprietary developments and external alliances around the world . In recent years she’s been actively engaged in the FoodTech Startup community, founding and leading Blu1877 Barilla Venture Capital Arm. To this end she is devoting all her current efforts in helping the next generation of young entrepreneurs to grow a more sustainable food system.

Gini Dupasquier // Strategic consultant, expert in social innovation

Gini is the founder of Donnalab, a think tank aimed at promoting gender balance in the workplace and society(www.donnalab.it). She is also the co-President of the Professional Women’s Network of Milan (www.pwnmilan.net). She is the managing director of Ortygia Business School (www.ortygiabs.org) an educational platform that brings educational excellence, networking and business opportunity to corporations and startups in the Mediterranean region.

Previously, Gini worked at Accenture and IMS Health where she gained her 15 years of management consulting experience. Born in Milano, she graduated in Business at Bocconi University and spent part of her career abroad, living in London, Cairo and the Middle East.

Cristina Andreetta // Strategic Marketing and Innovation

Cristina is a senior manager who specialises in strategic marketing and innovation, who has over 20 years of international experience in the enterprise world. She works in a startup that deals with Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation, while she is attending the “Executive Master in Management” at MIP Politecnico di Milano with specialisation in digital transformation. Cristina is a pro bono advisor for an innovative startup in the fashion industry and a part-time consultant in a company responsible for open innovation. She is also a mentor at SDA Bocconi and Young Women Network Association, teacher at 24ORE Business School, and a business angel member of Angels4Women.

Aldo Curinga // CEO & Founder TH2

Aldo founded his first startup in 1987, which he sold in 2001, which went on to be transformed into an international group of companies operating in various technological sectors from aerospace to healthcare. Thanks to consolidated relationships in New York and San Francisco, he helped open up the Italian market to emerging American and Israeli startups, including Netmanage and Hummingbird, following them up to the IPO. Since 2006 he has been involved in starting startups, collaborating with important Italian and international fundraising companies. He followed the birth of The Hive and since 2015 he is the head of TH2, an accelerator that invests in startups and innovative SMEs in the Digital Manufacturing and Industry 4.0 sectors.

Floriano Bonfigli // Business Mentor The Hive

Floriano is a mentor of The Hive startups, teaching the dos and don’ts when starting a tech-venture, and assisting with their fundraising plan, business strategy and service/product development. He is regularly invited to hold lectures and seminars on topics related to entrepreneurship for university students and recent graduates, including the Adriano Olivetti Institute (ISTAO), the Polytechnic University of Marche, the University of Macerata, the University of Urbino and the University of Teramo.

Elena Viezzoli // Business Mentor The Hive

Elena is a entrepreneur, consultant, coach and business mentor for the Cherie Blair Foundation in London, which helps young women develop their business ideas. She is the Founder of Aethra.net, Vice President of Confindustria Marche Centro Nord and Tutor for the Rotary Youth Exchange. With an international background she has lived, studied and worked for more than 20 years in many different cities around the world (Miami, New York, Perth, London, Luxembourg, San Francisco, Bologna Milan, Rome). She founded and managed various high-tech companies in different sectors: manufacturing, distribution and today of value-added services; in this way she was able to gain experience in all types of markets both nationally and internationally. She had the honor of winning various prizes in the various companies in which she worked; in 2010 with Aethra.net they won the prize as the best company in the world in the sector; in 2019 she received the Italo Agnelli Lifetime Achievement Award and STARTUPITALIA included her among the 1000 women who are changing ITALY: THE UNSTOPPABLE WOMEN. Today she is dedicated not only to technology but also to the development of Happiness and Well-Being, her great passion always together with sport.

Clelia Tosi

Clelia Tosi // Business Development Manager Fintech District

Clelia is the current Business Development Manager of the Fintech District. With 10 years of experience in the world of consulting and research for Financial Services, she is involved in developing the Italian and international Fintech ecosystem at 360 degrees. She firmly believes in Open Innovation as a road to a real transformation of the sector, combining interest both for the technological, strategic and processes innovation and for Compliance and Regulation.

Francesco Mantegazzini // MGH7 Venture Capital CEO & Founder

Francesco is the MGH7 Venture Capital CEO & Founder, Infront Lab and Fan+ Sport Platform creator, and organiser of the Global Startup Expo, Fiera delle Startup and Expo delle Startup. He is also the mentor for UNIDO, Unicredit Start Lab, Endeavor, Founder’s Institute and judge for many startup competitions, such as Intesa San Paolo Business Initiative and Premio Marzotto.

Previously, he was the Head of Business Development & Investor Relations of Gruppo 24 ORE (where he founded Fabbrica 24 Corporate VC and the club deal platform Back To Work 24) and held various top management positions in Telecom Italia. In 2017, he was awarded the prize for best male angel investor in Italy, and in 2019 he was included by Startup Italian in the top 60 Venture Capital, Private Equtiy & Angel Investors in Italy.

Antonino Saccà // General Partner at Hephaestus Venture srl

A veteran of Advertising Technology industry before founding Hephaestus Venture, Antonino has been involved in several venture backed companies as Director Sales and Business Development in Germany, United States and
Italy such as Adsmobi inc., Smaato inc., Beintoo spa and Aarki inc. Antonino is an Alumnus of Bologna Business School in which completed an Executive MBA. Antonino holds a Master Degree in Marketing Communication (cum laude) at the University of Turin.

Simona Torre // Secretary-General Fondazione Italiana Accenture (FIA)

Simona joined FIA – Fondazione Italiana Accenture in late 2018. Before that, she was part of Buongiorno Global Technology Team (renamed DOCOMO Digital in 2012), contributing to the development of the company from a startup to European leader in Interactive and Mobile Services.

Whilst at DOCOMO Digitla Simona was appointed to launch and lead a Corporate Acceleration & Venture Program (b-ventures) aimed at accelerating the growth of tech startups, with special focus on the Fintech sector, and was also a member of the Selection Committee of several acceleration programs funded by the European Commission.

Today Simona still sits as Board of Directors member of two startups accelerated by b-ventures : Oval Money and DNAphone. Prior to that, Simona worked at Accenture, specialising in design and installation of IT solutions in the banking sector.

Simona graduated at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, in Statistics Science.

Elena LPris // Wealth Management & Protection Consultant deVere

Educated in the Civil Engineering society of Canada, Elena was motivated to experience how the world works. For her, the only way to find out was to embrace it. Her professional experience led her to Australia, Dubai, London, Spain and now, Italy.

Her most prominent project, was in the Middle East, working on the iconic Burj Khalifa, alongside an eclectic selection of masterminds from different cultures. The lack of women in engineering, motivated Elena to bridge the gender gap. She began mentoring newly graduated female engineers.

After more than a decade in Dubai, Elena moved to Europe and shifted her life’s work to focus on societal and planetary issues in the context of business. Her exposure to different nations posed cross-border challenges as an expat, which became invaluable experience in the next stages of her career. She quickly migrated to the financial industry and joined deVere-Italia. Focusing on cross-border and wealth protection advice, this role allows Elena to help educate others on financial sustainability whilst helping her clients develop a strategy and protect their wealth.

She is an entrepreneur at heart, who is often exploring solutions to complex problems. Elena’s experiences shed light on understanding unconventional women’s response to roles and challenges in society and in the business sphere.

Lorenzo dal Verme // Business Angel

Lorenzo is a Business Angel and a senior executive with significant experience across a range of industry sectors; including Service, Automotive, Ceramic and Oil&Gas, both as CFO in the UK, in Italy and in the US and as CEO in South Africa.

He started his career in Planning & Control and broadening his experience through senior management positions of increasing responsibility both in large multinational groups and in medium/large family businesses. He is familiar with the working approaches and interactions of complex matrix organizations and has contributed to the completion of acquisitions, hive downs and business restructurings.

He has worked both in standard mass production and in project engineering, using Percentage Of Completion (POC), and worked with a range of ERPs (Sigest, Baan, SAP R/3 and ACG) and BIs (Hyperion, SAP BW, Cognos, AS and Board). She is graduated in Economics and Commerce from the University of Pavia and is registered in the register of auditors since 2005.

Giulia is the Head of Network at TIM WCAP, the Open Innovation Hub of TIM that accelerates digital transformation by selecting ideas, projects, products and services outside of the company’s boundaries.Giulia is passionate of startup and Innovation, and has over 20 years of experience in Marketing and CRM, which has given her the knowledge and the ability to cope with big and complex organization and can help her to give advice to startups that look for a business matching with big companies. At the beginning of her career, she also worked in two non Telco companies, Nissan and Pfizer, always as a Product Manager in Marketing Dpt.

She is part of the “Erasmus generation,” having been an exchange student for one year in Paris University and a supporter of European Institutions as they represent the real opportunity and future for our small countries in the global economy.

Danilo has more than 20 years of experience in Management Consulting across several industries.He holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Pisa. He is responsible for Open Innovation services in which he engages and manages relations with the innovation ecosystem and executes transformation projects for large companies leveraging open innovation. He frequently provides business mentorship to selected startups in Med Tech, Digital Health, Sharing Economy, FinTech and Digital. In 2019, he was appointed President of the Evaluation Committee of Premio Marzotto (the leading Startup competition in Italy).
